Playtime & Toddler Groups

 

Come along to our wonderfully equipped Under 5’s Playtime Centre. We have a ball pool, soft play area, playhouse, climbing frame, slide, dressing up, construction toys, craft resources, baby changing and lots, lots more. There’s even a separate area for small babies where they can be safe and occupied, with seating directly next to them.
 
You can have fun playing with your baby or toddler, or you can sit and chat with a lovely cup of freshly brewed coffee while your children play. Whatever you do it’s a great place to come and meet other parents and carers of babies and toddlers.
 
The sessions offer free play, craft resources, refreshments and singing and all are run by volunteers from St Thomas’ Church Philadelphia.
 
  • When - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday @10.00-11.30am
  • Where - Playtime Centre, St Thomas’ Philadelphia Campus
  • Who - For children 0-5 years and their parents and carers
  • Cost - £1.50 per family

The Groups

  • Monday - Singing & Signing – A group with singing and some signing in the middle of the session
  • Tuesday - Women Only – A chance to meet others in a women only environment
  • Thursday - All Welcome – All welcome to join in the free play, crafts and singing

First Time Mums Group

This group provides the opportunity for new mums to meet other new mums in a warm and friendly environment.  The group is quieter and seeks to cater specifically for the needs of new mums.  It is a great group for making friends and support.
  • When - Thursday 2.00-3.30pm
  • Where - Playtime Centre, St Thomas’ Philadelphia Campus
  • Who - For new mums with babies up to 9 months
  • Cost - £1.50 per family

 

Playtime Celebrations 

Here at Playtime we love to celebrate Christmas and Easter with a party for the children who come to Playtime.  Each year we hold a Christmas and Easter celebration where we do seasonal crafts, stories and provide delicious treats for both the adults and children.
 
  • When – Last Monday of term before Christmas and Easter, 10.00-11.30am
  • Where – Teaching Hall, St Thomas’ Church Philadelphia Campus
 
 

Other Events

We also like to support other events throughout the year.  To date we have supported Operation Christmas Child, Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Barnardo’s Big Toddle and other local charities and causes.
