Stories
Here are some recent testimonies of what God has been doing in and through our communities. Testimony is a great way to build up and encourage each other, so if anything to celebrate has happened in your community (new people coming, healing, people becoming Christians ...) please let us know!
If you’ve got a story to tell or a testimony to share of what God has done for you email it into us at testimony@stthomaschurch.org.uk, share it on twitter using @sharetestimony, or upload your own webcam testimony to the Philadelphia Facebook page! You can also use a ‘Do you have a story to tell?’ card found on the pillars at Philly or from your community leader.

Merry Christmas to everyone and we wish you a good and blessed new year. I would like to thank you for your prayers for Christmas celebration party that we had in this celebration. God really blessed us with 211 people who participated in this party and we got introduced to new people and fun and heard the message of Christmas and we want to share this with you and thank you from bottom of our heart.
One of our members, C, was in Bridlington a couple of weeks ago with a friend. When it was time to come home the friend's car battery was absolutely flat. C had a "gift of faith" moment and said, "Let's just get some icecream and pray about it", which is what they did. When they got back to the car, it started first time and got them home. When C's friend took it to be checked out the folllowing day (and it worked again), the mechanic said the battery was long past what should have been the end of its life and he couldn't understand how it had got the car to the garage, let alone from Brid to Sheffield! We can only conclude that C and her friend's prayer about getting home was truly answered!
Jo Huckin, Broomhall Community
"The Broomhall Funday, run by the Broomhall Community on Saturday 17th September, was set up in support of the east African crises, with the vision to see Broomhall be united. It was a day to let people in the area come together and share their culture and life with each other. A time to not see the differences but to be more united. The day was filled with games, laughter, food and community. People from different backgrounds shared their food and a local samba band preformed. A girl that was attending the funday said that she loves these kinds of days and goes to all of them. A few from Broomhall community got in contact with an asylum seeking man that might attend a freedom in Christ course that the community will be running. Through this day the Broomhall community got to share God's love with their neighbours and the day was backed up with prayer every hour."
