“Give every child the chance to choose Jesus”
The majority of children growing up in the UK today are being raised by parents who have never heard the good news about Jesus. That means that they need to hear it from someone else!
“ ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them” Romans 10:13-14
We want all the children of Sheffield to know and experience all the fullness of God’s kingdom here on earth, and that can only happen if they choose Jesus.
STOMP clubs teach children about God in a fun, exciting, relevant way and give them a chance to choose Jesus. We give the children the opportunity to be transformed by God, experience relationship with Him in a loving community and be equipped to go out into the world and tell others about a God who changes lives!
STOMP clubs are for children in Y3-Y6. They run in various communities across the city in local community halls.
The sessions last an hour and include worship, games and teaching.
Great things have been happening in the STOMP Clubs!Hillsborough STOMP started this time last year, and had 3 girls at the first session. We now have 25 children regularly attending, all stemming from the personal invitations given out by those original three girls.
Over this last year, those children have learnt about God, about how much He loves them and their value in His Kingdom.
It’s been exciting to see them working out their faith in the playground and in their homes, making choices which honour God. Hillsborough STOMP takes place every Tuesday evening, 6pm-7pm.
Shiregreen STOMP has been running for many years and has a whole missional community working with the families there. The STOMP club is going from strength to strength and they’re still getting lots of new children. Shiregreen STOMP runs every Thursday evening, 6pm-7pm.
